Bought my first Panda 6 years ago, a 2006 1.3 diesel. Saved it from the scrap yard. Took the back axle out and rebuilt it. (rotten). done 50000 miles in it at 70 miles to the gallon.
Just bought my second Panda 2009 4x4 cross with a 1.3 diesel. Same thing welding the back axle as per photo. then take it and get it galvanised. One problem I have is finding the special bolts which go through the trailing arm and adjust the track.

Galvanised subframe and trailing arms back in. Also had the sump guard galvanized. New brake pipes, wheel bearings, shockers etc are being fitted. The special bolts I could not get that go through the trailing arm rubber mounts I had to make.
