Afternoon guys,
Can anyone help me?
I currently have a K&N panel filter in the original airbox on my multijet 150 stilo.
I wanted to upgrade it to a forced induction kit, a proper one - not just a cone shaped filter on a tube with cold air feed and inline MAF.
Obviously - I understand the airbox is designed specificly to give the engine the air it needs and acts as a plenum chamber.
Most cheap cone filters ruin all this and can easily impact performance and reduce economy.
However, a properly made induction kit (lets say, like the one a friend has on his VW Scirocco TSI or the one a neighbour has on his astra sri 150 (multijet engine) is a genuine tested product that does improve performance and MPG and is much better made than the cheap alternatives.
BUT.... I cant find one for the stilo
I have found them for the same engine in various other cars, even alfa's... BUT the original filter box etc is not in the same place and its hard to see on the alfa pictures if it's in the same place (under the battery tray, directly in front of the gearbox, behind the oil / intercooler...
Can anyone help here, has anyone fitted one meant for an alfa with the same engine? does the kit fit into the same location without modifications etc.
I'm getting a little cheesed off now, the bravo and other models have much more options but i keep struggling with the stilo - most decent upgrades are either for the 2.4 or the other petrol engines, not really much going on the decent front.
