My car was booked in yesterday for a custom remap.
On two runs on a dyno the results were 113HP at the crank and 132lb/ft.
The car standard should be 133hp and 152 torque.
I have a cat back stainless steel free flowing exhaust and a K&N panel filter. (also tried it with Ramair induction cone - made no difference)!
I was expecting the results be around 137 - 140bhp due to these changes.
I had everything checked other and there was no explanation to why the loss in power as standard.
The end result after a remap was 133hp and 157torque which is basically what it should be standard. The car feels better, but I was expecting after researching about remap power gains the figures should be 165hp and 180 torque. I can not have it altered anymore than it is already as it would be beyond its safe limit.
Has anybody else had similar issues?
Why is there so much power loss as standard?
