Hi guys n girls

I had an auto locksmith come today to program what we thought was an un programmed spare key we got with the Punto (2002 sporting).

Turns out this key according to him has dropped its program and we need a new one...it wont program he says. He would supply a programmed key for £110 plus vat...is this a good price bearing in mind he was going to just program the old key for £55+vat?

As we need a spare for our daughter I am looking on ebay for a blank to be cut which can be programmed. Your help in choosing the right key would be great. I am near Guildford so if you know anyone around this area who can do it let me know. I work near Portsmouth so that area too.

Cheers.

Your other post says your car is a 2002 sporting.
A new key is worth what you will pay. Don't forget that the locksmith has overheads, his eqipment will have cost thousands, even if he leases it. Then his van, fuel, tax, pension, wages ......
Personally I think that is expensive for 1 key, but...
