Technical Intermitant Starting Problems

Hi guys,
My car will turn over fast when i turn the key but sometimes wont fire up. Only started yesterday, took 4 times of turning the key before he fired up this was after being parked up for 4 hours. This afternoon took 7 times before firing up and this was after only 5 mins of been parked up.. Is this a common problem? Not really sure what to do . Is it best to give it a bit of throttle as i dont want to flood the engine.

Poor starting when hot often means its running rich.

No need for any throttle but you need to read the ECU codes to see what's going on. It could be O2 sensor, crank sensor or a temperature sensor.

Do you get any lights on the dash when trying to re-start it?

Thanks guys.. yeah lights come on when im turning the key, one on the left saying CODE and then an oil can and battery lights also come on.
