Hello,
Apologies if this is already somewhere in the forum, I just couldn't find it. I have a 2006 1.2 Dynamic GP.
How can I tell when the break pads need to be replaced?
On previous cars I've owned they used to have like a little metal marker that you could easily see, even with the wheel on, so when the pad reached that marker it meant pads needed replacing and if you didn't change them the metal would make a noise because it would touch the disc.
I couldn't find this sort of thing on my GP. Do I need to take the wheel off? Any tips?
The reason I ask is because since I got my GP (5 months ago) it has got this grinding noise when I break, right after I got it I took it back to the dealer to get it checked and they said breaks where fine, so I presume it's a normal sound? I just want to be safe.
Thanks!
