Thats why you won't be getting any fault codes, as its not an engine specific fault, and like most generic pieces of kit, they won't read vehicle specific codes.
Need to invest in MultiECUscan (formally FiatECUscan)
Any cheap diagnostic code scanner will read generic codes. You will need something capable of reading Fiat manufacturer specific codes to read ABS ECU codes.
I suggested that to you in post #14 above. You said you had done it.
Sorry... I mentioned I didn't know what reads generic codes... I totally assumed an expensive computer would read Fiat AND generic codes...
But later in the thread I understood what you were saying.
We do have a little handheld code reader... I bet that reads generic codes... Will mention that...
You are lotsa help. Must be challenging trying to explain this to the person NOT working on the car, and with limited knowledge on the topic.
