That's what happens when thread posts change topic all over the place...I was talking about lubricating the clutch lever (fork) upper bush/shaft...not what oil goes in the engine or gearbox!

I used a Molybenidium (spelling?) grease for bearings whilst my clutch was out, but you'd not get much or any at all in if the thing is still assembled

What clutch would you recomend for my sei 1.1sx? I go thru euro car part ones like **** off a stick

Valeo or LUK.

I'd change factors ASAP.

But the biggest cause of premature clutch failure is sitting still in traffic with the car in gear, foot on clutch pedal.

I bought a LUK clutch and it is so poorly designed, the thrust bearing would eat through the pressure plate very quickly, so I fitted an AP. AP appears to be the standard now and is what I would recommend along with Valeo.

Hi thanks for replys uv sorted the creak without taking anything off just used 1l engine oil to lube it up let it soak everyday it may have had a AP clutch fitted as it's done 82k wen I got it so clutch has bound to been replaced I'm just going to do a gearbox oil change I think should make it run smoother!
