Hello there!

I have a 2016 Fiat GP (Young 1.2 SS edition) with a Daiichi P3000 multimedia system.
Like this one: https://www.fiatnavigation.com/en/fiat-punto/

A couple of months ago the radio started asking for the passcode every time it turned on. Previously, it never asked for that.
Nothing changed before asking for the passcode, there wasn't a battery change.
The worst part is that it suddenly shuts down after driving for a while with the radio on (Bluetooth, radio station, GPS).
I can hear a "thud" coming out of the speakers as the system shuts down abruptly. Afterward, the radio sometimes reboots automatically and asks for the passcode again, sometimes it just stays off.
I can always turn it back on after it suddenly shuts down.

Has anyone found a similar behavior with their units?
Could this be fixable, or has the time come to spend 200+ euros on an aftermarket unit :cry:?

Other useful info:
Meanwhile, I also have been having problems with the power steering. Sometimes it just stops working while turning, and shutting down the engine and starting it up again, as per these posts:

Things I have tried:
- Checking the Gremlin electric thread (checked for corrosion, earth connection);
- Removed the radio and checked the fuse and loose wires (all good here);
- Tried different driving options to see if there was a pattern (driving with headlamps on, start and stop, checking if it always turned off while turning). I couldn´t find a pattern there;
- Getting a new battery (I used SS a lot, and a battery test showed that it was time for a replacement). The mechanic plugged the car into an OBD machine and no fault codes were detected. However, changing the battery did not help with the radio or power steering issues.

Thank you!
