General Grande Punto 1.3 multijet 2007 - Consumption

I have problem with my car Grande Punto 1.3 multijet 2007 - hight Consumption!!

Its 10 littre per 100km?:bang:

Please anybody knows about this Problem?

Sometimes my car switch on engine light after driving 2-3 km its switch OFF.
Sometimes lost its power!

You need to get the engine management light sorted out first this will likely be the cause of the increased competition

Cars and engines are very complicated and there are numerous factors that can lead to bad consumption.
I would start with reading that error code with MES... that can point you in numerous directions:
-thermostat (is the car reaching and maintaining operating temperature)
-how is the car used? mostly short 5-10km trips? then that consumption would not surprise me even for a perfectly working engine.
-temp sensor
-air meter map sersors
-boost leak
....
-etc etc etc.
Then i would check the brakes are not stuck take car for a ~30 km drive get put and put hands on each wheel... a wheel with biding brakes will be significantly hotter that the others.

Its tru that the engine light is on some times but, identifing the problem?

I have to say that i use my car special urban in everyday about 4 km to send my children in garden and back again 4 km total 8 km in one day...pls can u tell me what is MES?
And how to test those indicators:
-thermostat
-air meter map sersors
-boost leak

if those are working well?

Load it on a laptop, get a decent OBD2 cable and use it to help read how your car is running

I Found error but its UNKNOW Error I dont know what is the problem!!!????

I have to explain more about my car problem: DURING I AM DRIVING THE ENGINE LOST POWER like like the engine dead for 2 second, does not get gas , maybe that's is the reasen to spend more fuel.
