Well the old girl decided she didn't want to go out on tuesday, starter motor was turning over but thought it may be a low battery charge issue as I've used her to jump start some vehicles in the last week, charged that up n still no joy, on further investigation (took the air filter housing off) I found that x2 wires have been buggered up by the housing rubbing away at them ( I'm taking an educated guess that this is the issue ;-) ). Can I just replace the x2 wires or would I need a whole new loom? T i a...

They don't look good, but I would be surprised if that was stopping the engine from running, especially with the current warm weather.
Normally you would see an error message if a problem.

It's 9 volts IIRC, So doesn't need much
I was going to solder in 2 x replacement cables on mine.. (Damaged caps)
But a Crimp connector fitted the Plug head nicely
