General Fuel light query!

Hi guys, as a newbie to driving a fiat I wondered if you could help? (I drive the 1.2 petrol engine). The fuel light comes on as soon as the gage hits a quarter and my range was showing something like 36 miles left! How accurate is this? It doesn't seem much? Or is that just normal for fiat. Also I'm averaging 46mpg, is that crap? Thanks in advance guys.

My fuel warning light comes on at just below quarter but my range gives me round about 80miles of fuel..

77 miles for me, 46 mpg isn't the best, but all depends on how new the car is, what tyres you're running and what sort of driving you're doing

The cars on a 60 plate, running on 16" s and the majority of my driving is done on dual carriageway, i dont go over 60mph. I've only had it just over a week so will check the range again. Thanks guys.

I very much suspect the next time the fuel light goes on after a fuel up, that it'll behave differently
