ZFA is the chassis number for all Fiats, and they're not all italian built.
Not sure you're right there MEP. According to Wiki, Z prefeixes for VIN numbers have been allocated as follows:
ZA-ZR Italy
ZS-ZW not assigned
ZX-Z2 Slovenia
Z3-Z5 Lithuania
Z6-Z0 not assigned
So ZFA would indicate Italian origin.
Origin being the Key word - IE Italian Manufacture, which Fiat is, doesn't mean thats where the model or that specific car has been built though.
On my Tempra is ZFA, but it was made i Turkey! Explain that!
