no straight fit, fiat punto has a standard connection it takes seconds to fit, i did a cd player on my sisters punto, the bigest problem was taking old one out
Takes seconds to fit - aswell as seconds to take out as I found out yesterday!!!! Does it have a removeable fascia ?? Was looking at that model too - looks good! Good luck!
well if its got 4 holes in each corner of the stereo, you just cut up an old wire coat hanger and push them in each hole and it clicks and you just pull the stereo out, job done, if not then i aint got a clue, lol thats just how my sisters came out.
This is a bit off topic, but alot of the mk1 head units allows a cd changer to be added to it, either the rc 026 or the rc 082.
I have the rc 026, it means you keep the dash looking original, and if you have steering wheel controls you can use them to control the cd changer (tracks, volume, cd change etc.)
Price: my one was 65.00 on eBay from a Peugeot 406, vary from 19.99 to 10.000, the cost of a new one is £200.00 (the only difference being it has a VDO Dayton fasia - part of the philips corp now)
Pic, this pic was taken before i fitted it into the boot:
well i tried that with the wires and several other things lol but after an hour or so of pissin about i just ripped it out and i disintegrated in my hands lol but no worries as the wires wer all ok and my new units in sound as a pound
