Hello,

Because there was constantly a little oil draining out the "vent" found on top of the gearbox I decided that maybe I should replace the gearbox oil. For the 2.0 gearbox there is no level stick or level plug so to check the level you basically have to replace it.

My question is how much oil to put inside. Manual says 3.1l (or 2.7kg) which seems a lot. I only drained ~1.8l. Can some one pls confirm that capacity is in fact 3.1l?

The capacity is 3.1 l by the manual. But if you have harder gear shifting from 2-3 gear like most F40 gearboxes they recoment to put inside 2.4 liters. And when i change oil on mine i put 2.4 liters. The gearbox is F40 so google it.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply. In the end I decided to put in 2.3l, somewhere between what i drained and manual instructions. I will watch if any oil will leak of the top vent and than maybe put 2dl more in it.

Thanks.
