Hi everyone,

I've just changed the fuel filter on my 2017 1.3 Multijet diesel and I'm having an issue with the connection (with arrow underneath).

As you can see I've provisionally used a cable ties to reinforce the connection here.

I've spoken with a Fiat dealer who obviously state the only way of getting this fitting is with the whole set (both feeds etc) at £700 🙃

Firstly, does anyone have an idea of what this kind of connection/clip is called? Secondly, does anyone know where I could purchase one?

TIA

I had a faulty connector on a 03 Doblo and Fiat said the same thing , but in those days I thought £200 was too much!
The fitting is crimped on to the fuel line so even if you got the correct fitting it would need a specialist tool to crimp it.
Is it possibly just the removable clip that you could get from a scrapyard or have the plastic locking tags that are part of the fitting which is more of a problem.

Thanks for the reply.

At the moment finding one from a scrapyard is like finding a needle in the haystack sadly!

Any idea of what this kind of clip is called?

Just some form of "locking clip", as you say Dealer will only sell complete flow and return pipe, so only options are from a scrapyard etc.
Often Scrapyard sellers on eBay when selling a S/H fuel filter chop off the connectors and leave them on the fuel filter rather than going to the trouble of disconnecting, so you may end up having to buy a S/H fuel filter and make sure they include the bits you want.
All this is assuming the only damaged bit is the locking clip and not the moulded in part with the tabs that grip the metal pipe ridge to stop it falling off.
You could see if one of those yards advertising on eBay could give you a price for the complete flow and return pipe S/H.
By the way if only that locking clip, is there any way you could feed some locking wire through the locking clip hole to secure the fitting onto the filter in addition to what you already have as a temporary safeguard until a better option presents itself.
On the 03 Doblo I was able to affect a secure repair using fuel rubber hose and quality clips, though mine was a non electric fuel pump in the tank and so relied on vacuum to draw the fuel to the high pressure pump.
