How about Spa?

I haven't read the whole thread so I don't know If it's been mentioned - but barring Silverstone the next-closest is Spa in Belgium - plus it's 9 times out of 10 a great race!

I reckon you can get there in about 2-3 from Calais easy - plus there's plenty of accommodation, cheap apparently if you nip across the border into Holland/Germany...

The tickets for the race aren't as expensive as Monaco either!

But that's not what this thread is about

The plan is to go to the 2007 Monaco Grand Prix as a Fiat forum group, stay in nice (short train ride from monaco city centre) for the entire GP weekend + 2 free days to do what you want. How you get there and back pretty much is up to you, however I am planning on driving, and I am sure some other people may be too, some people may want to fly etc...

But the general idea is all to go there together, (or at least meet up when we're there) have some fun watch some cars buzz around a track, soak up the atmosphere, get a tan, do some drinking, and come home for the better of having been to see an F1 grand prix at the best, most prestigeous, and one of the most historic circuits on the F1 tour.

If you want to come, you're more than welcome, its a long way off yet, so a provisional yes/no is fine since we'll want to confirm numbers closer to next summer. But I warn you its not going to be cheap, hence why we've (KoA) has started this thread early so there is enough for warning for people who have to save, to get the money together (I'm one of those people :( ), so the experiance can be as hastle free as possible.

Hope that answers your questions, if you want any more info, PM me or KoA, or read through the numerous pages of this thread, there is lots of juicy bits of information in there.

Alex

EDIT: I forgot to mention, not many people get to do this sort of thing too often, and to me its a good excuse to go and do something I normally wouldn't think of doing, or normally afford to do.

Sorry, I haven't had the time to read the whole thing - is the idea not to meet up at a Grand Prix somewhere???
It's no problem mate, it's just that the subject of going to a different GP has come up in the thread before, and like Alex says this about realising a dream, and that's what we want to stick to in this thread :)

I have a Hi-Vis jacket with my name on it :D (don't know why though!) I will be bringing that. and I stole the Toolkit and Warning triangle out of my dads M3 before he sold it :D

ALdi are currently doing a kit including warning triangle, high visibility jacket and one other item I forget, about £6.

Argos does £10 toolkit which will get ya outta trouble..tho everything is too electronic for tht nowadays :D

Good stuff, I'm sure by the time it comes around you'll have met some of us (I hope that doesn't put you off!)

Right... I've started a web site where you can access all of the information that I have (when I've finally uploaded it all). I'll also keep posting updates on there as and when, as well as on this thread, but since there are some sub conversations starting to emerge here its going to be easier to take the useful stuff off here and put it on the web site, to keep the pertenent (sp) stuff all together... if you get what I mean.

so here is the url, feel free to hit it as many times as you like since its Bens server and he loves the extra traffic!

ok its: http://monaco.revone.co.uk/

also I apologise for my lack of artistic tallent, it seems to have escaped me over the past day or so!

I am going to be uploading stuff this weekend, and tralling through this thread to try and get as much usful stuff as possible ported over... anyway enough waffle, book mark it if you wish, and keep checking back. :)

Like I said in the PM Alex, thanks mate (y)

That's gonna come in very useful for planning this trip and maybe make people realise how serious we are. I am still thinking of doing the trip in the car. I think it will be more fun TBH. Although I may hire a car so I can really enjoy myself without worrying about my car :D

Website looks great (y)
