I drive Fiat Linea, 1.3 Quadrajet diesel engine. Since some time, i use to get this warning message indicating insufficient oil pressure, and the engine use to consume engine oil so much. Oil pump was recently replaced, and EGR is been cleaned. I observed that the engine oil is flowing back into coolant container and i think that is when this insufficent oil pressure message is popping up. It used to happen when driving at low speeds, but yesterday it was continuous warning that insufficient oil pressure and the coolant container was so much under pressure and the flow of engine oil into coolant container is found. What would u think is the faulty guy in this scenarios. The fiat service guy is proposing to change engine head saying there might be issue with head and valve. But is that the reason? what are the other things i might have to lookinto before actually deciding to change the cylinder head. Thanks much in advance for your help.
