Info in there on egr issues, if you google for 2007 fiat multi jet erg blanking plates you can find some easy enough but the actual job can be awkward so take your time.
I was in the garage last week with an Anti pollutant fault and we discussed blanking the ERG. However, my now new friend the mechanic said that the latest exhaust gas MOT testers have a pressure sensor which can detect that the ERG has been blanked.
I cant confirm this is 100% correct but I'm sure we would have gone down this avenue if we could have. A new ERG valve is looking imminent for me as well.
I havent blanked egr off just bought a recon one from euro parts however it lasted a week so returned it for another one this lasted days . The fault is the arm keeps snapping on them . My question is would there be another reason why they keep breaking other than rubbish supplier . Would by brand new but they are double the expense and would this snap as well ? any ideas ?
