Good day mate's
First of all let me introduce myself.
i am Thijmen I come from the Netherlands (so excuse me for the bad english)
and I am learning to become a Truck mechanic. Ive owned 2 mopeds before i bought a punto and that's a honda mtx ot which i still have and a derbi senda which i sold.
Both where my projects and both where a lot off fun. The only problem with mopeds is they break down and always on a work a schoolday. So i was in need for a car, only problem was i didnt have a lot of money and didnt want to pay a lot per month. so after 2 months of searching i found this
a 97 punt mk1 with almost 200.000km's (120.000 miles) on the clock and most important AN LPG INSTALLATION:worship:.
So normally in the netherlands you pay a lot of tax on a lpg car but mine is only 910 kg which means i only pay 10 euro's (8 pound 50) more in 3 months time. and with the lpg price per liter being 45 cents (0,40 pence) and gas price being 1 euro 50 (1 pound 40) its realy cheap.
Btw on the photo the car looks quite nice but it got a lot of dents and scrathes which is a shame.
So far ive done some a few things
New oil and oilfilter.
New brake pads and discs on the front
Painted the wheels red.
Got a new rear light unit (mine had a large hole in it)
But enough bullsh*t here are some pic's
at a farmers festival:
After i painted the wheels red and added some white tire marker:
Oil change:
Never seen dirtier oil :
But unfortunaly ive als got a few problems with the car
1: It doesnt start good, i need to give it a little bit of gas if i want to start it if you start it without gas it sounds like its starting up but than cuts short. ( i will maybe post a vid later.
2 the drivers seat is in a really bad shape does anybody know if there are seats from other models of fiat that straight fit or do i need to search for other punto seats? and also do the 2 door front panels fit a 4 door?
3 And last but not least, sometimes when i brake the pedal goes down but it feels like its not building up pressure, then i release it and it works like normal again. brake pads are good front and rear, got no leaks anywhere does anybody know another thing to check?
Its a realy nice car and i want to keep it for many years also i want to keep updating this forum post s
So cheers mate's till the next update
