Hi Guys.
I realise there have been questions about this type of thing before, but I felt I would start a new thread since my query is also about the money involved.
My climate control has started playing up on my Bravo (2008 1.4 T-Jet Dynamic). The direction control motor appears to have failed. Most of the time, I drive my car with the climate control on Full Auto, and that mostly means it's usually set to my feet. Now, though, the direction selection is stuck on windscreen.
I have had my dash apart today, and managed to get my hand in to work the flaps manually, and the direction flap is working freely. I therefore presume my motor has failed?
I have to admit that since I bought the car, there's been a constant buzzing from that kind of area, a kind of buzz-off-buzz-off sound with about a second in time for each buzz.
That being the case, what sort of money is it going to cost me to buy a new motor? I am a mechanic to trade, and gifted with rather small hands, so I am going to be able to replace the motor myself.
I noticed in other threads that typically there's more than one motor failed at a time - I only really managed to assess three (temperature control, recirculation control and the direction control). I gather there are five in total - where are the other two, and what are they for?
Many thanks
