Hello from Spain!
So, a few weeks back i bought myself a little 95 cinq sporting. I bought itcause of the rising fuel prices so i could save money on fuel - my other car is a truck.. And driving 100km a day in that thing makes your salary ridiculously low..And remember, im already living in spain on a spanish salary - so imagine that..
Anyways. I chose the cinq sporting cause life is too short for boring carsand i used to own a sei sporting years ago when they were quite new. I actually dont even remember the years i had it or the actual year of the sei. Kinda weird actually -butiremember i wasnt all that happy with it. But im sure it was because i came from having a 160 BHP civic VTI hatch before the sei.
Anyways, back to te cinq. I have noticed a week back or so, the revs were a little on the high side. Not when cold - but when warm. When cold, it stutters a bit when u tap the speeder a bit, like its gettinga bit much fuel..
But today on my way to work it stalled/bucked/ lst power intermittendly - in a roundabout of all places where i had t be fast (im drivingin spain - its always requires a heavy acceleration from a standstill) i revved up and released the clutch and suddeny i was accelerating-deceerating on/off several times within seconds, jumping like an idiot and scared as f**k cause i was going out in front of a really huge SUV with entertaining jumping - but very little speed..
I kept going, and cruising along the motorway it kept losing power at times - just to come right back.
I idrove it home, and i have tried to provoke the situation to find out what circumstances it happens. But im baffled, cause i really cant figure that out. One time at crusing with 100km/h under no load at all.. simetimes but very far from always under hard /medium acceleration with revs around the 4000..But also after the off ramp with 20 km/h in 3rd with as little throttle as possible just maintaining speed if even that..
One thing i do know is that when idling.. nothing happens. At the moment idling is around 15 to 1600 - sp no throttle is needed to just put it in gear and roll along.. But nothing happens there..
Tomorrow ill have a look in the garage. But im really unsure where to start. And this is why i askk u guys. I feel it unlikelythat it can be a vacuum hose or something like that, when the issues are s sporadic? I mean i leak is normally pretty constant. No fine and then not.
But please advise me on what to check first. . Cause im thinking everything from ground connection to crap in the fuel filter...
I did give it a little service when i got it. I flushed the cooling system, put new antifreeze, new oil/oilfilter, new fuel filter & air filter. And i did not put the fuel filter on backwards or something. I actually checked if i had been sleepingthat much when i changed it...
Thank in advance, and may i say i already find this on heck of a goldmine of info. I searched the forum for this and came up emtyhanded. But it might be that im danish and "bucking/stalling" might be terms that are are bit off when describing what happens.
Cheers :worship:
