Hi There

I recently had encountered a few probs with a 2008 punto.

to cut a long story short i have had two inlet valves changed and the head skimmed etc

Now, i have put everything back together as it was.

The crank has been set with the flywheel marking (set to 0 degrees on gearbox housing)

The cam has been set with the markings on pulley and casing.

Now the car turns perfectly, but no sign of life. There is defo spark at every lead, and fuel is coming through. It doesnt even spluter.

Is there anyway the guys who rebuild the head may have altered the cam pulley position?is there any way to view/check by removing rocker?

any help is appreciated.

thanks

i have not used a cam locking kit.

What i have done is lined the mark on cam pulley with the mark on casing. It is around the 9oclock position.
The crank was positioned used the viewing hole in side of gearbox.

Im guessing the timing must be still out due to no ignition of fuel at all. Is there a way of visually setting the cam correct by removing the rocker?

thank for any help

thanks

what is involed? is there anyway visually seeing if the cam is set right when it is lined with markings?
