Hi everybody!
I have a 2003 Stilo JTD with the Webasto heating system. The problem is that normally I make really short trips (10-15 min) and the heater normally needs to work around 20 min to get to the proper temperature, so my battery is slowly dying and one in a while I try to make a longer try in order to charge it.
Now, my car also have a DEFA electrical block heater system that works with the normal 230V plug and I would like to install a battery charger that is connected to the heater system and the battery, so both processes can work simultaneously.
Here's a picture of the device:
And here's the website in case you want to check it out:
http://www.defa.com/en/automotive/warmup/products/battery_chargers/multicharger_1204/
So, my question is, as this models are really complicated about their electrical systems: Will it cause any electrical problems like crazy warning lights or ECU problems, etc?
Thanks! Greeting from Northern Finland
