So a bit of fiddlin' was conducted earlier

First I went round and changed every bulb that needed changing

Better 8 blown and the rhs main beam still refuses to work!!! :bang:

Next was my aerial, rather lack of...

I actually smashed it by accident

Bah, I'll get another one! This looks much better

More importantly, picks up Nova

Other bits and bobs were also gawked at....

• Air filter was cleaned up
• Filled up with diesel
• Found out where it was leaking diesel
• Replaced some fuses...

Yeah, about the fuses... When I changed the 2 that were blown the EML went off

But...


Back to the fuses ripped out after that!

The excess whistle is from the air intake pipe, broke!

And yes, there's quite a lot of reek out of the back...

realistically thought the HDI is a good solid engine despite the running problem you've had, and its great to watch the fuel computer flick to 999mpg every time you come off the pedals. where was it leaking diesel from?

It must be a curse of the film, my E34 is poorly at the moment, the dreaded "TRANS PROGRAM" is flashing on the dash!

The running problem is a very strange one, it works fine with the fuse for the glow plugs out but is a nightmare to start :bang: runs beautifully with the fuse in but cuts out!!! Damned electrics bah, I'll wire in my own switch

The leak is from a wonkey injector, you might see diesel on the ground in some of the previous pics. Quite bad...

Anyways onto an update

First, cleaned up my pipes

Oily, must keep an eye on that...

As the guy who had it ran a dog rescue centre, there was a bit of a whiff of dog from the car... :dead:

Still airing out and its dark here!

Also, the interior was tidied up before I got the car But as always...

Poke around enough for the cash prizes. There was a zippo lighter too :devil:

Don't like that interior, seeing if I can source a leather interior... Seats are chewed too!

Injectors will be got this weekend hopefully!

Leak sorted! Was a dodgy return pipe, it had come off!!! :bang: Back on, no leaks

Also, tuned my pump back to normal

But before I put it right...

So I finally got some time to do more stuff! On a tea break

Firs, redneck repair

Not by me but by the previous owner after some test drivers vandalised the car!

Its temporary and I'll find a permanent solution

Now to find where this goes...

Now onto a miserable job! Passenger window doesn't work. Off with the trim

That wasn't the hard part...

But... WHAT IDIOT PUTS GLUE OVER THE SCREWS???!!!!! :bang::bang::bang:

Then the battery went! Sills are white

There a fair few 406s in the scrap yard by me, think theres plenty of parts in all of them, plus the man who owns it is dead on, doesnt charge alot for any part..

The bodgery is craptastic!!! I have no immobiliser as a result and the stop solenoid is playing up

Any chance this the yard you're on about? I know the chap that runs it well

Speaking of that yard, got a few parts from there on Sat for the car!

Goodness knows what they were thinking!!!! Either way, as much as I liked the radio I tore it out, if I can't remove it I don't like it!

I did plan to change the carpet but I forgot what I was working with so a good hoovering, brushing and scrubbing is on the agenda

New interior with elec mirrors and rear windows

I also had to get

But even it couldn't move some of the hairs!
