Technical Air leak on diesel intake

Fiat doblo cargo 2009 1.3 d with a problem. Vehicle starts and ticks over poorly when cold. sometimes will not rev when the pedal is pushed. likewise will not drive up a slight incline. changed diesel filter and fuel side is ok. think ive a air intake leak which is messing with the mixture. after some ideas of where to start the search for the leak.

A possible source is the breather pipe split where it joins the air intake after the MAF sensor by the air cleaner.

Had hose problems, the last page was the diagnosis and fix
