some little asbo cu_t smashed my window last night ................... when getting the glass up from the floor i spotted the switch for the pass side airbag , and as the airbag light is on, on the dash i switched it off with the key an tryed the gear box ....... an gess what it works now, but now im in need a drivers side window any one know any where cheap ?,, and as for the airbag/gearbox thing - any ideas ?

can think of no obvious reasons for its behavior,
however any other problems id smash the drivers side window and see if that fixes it, if not work your way around :D

Hi Chaps

New to all this but I am lookin at a fault light with the Auto Gearbox.

Car runs fine and changes gear fine.
I read above about the priming thing, (sounds cool actually) does do that when I get in.
Fault light for gearbox error comes on when driving intermitantly and also sometimes on startup, but only over the past 2 weeks. I do try turning the car engine off and on, and usually that clears it.

Have a 2.4 20v Abarth as above also.

Checked the fluid level and it appears to be half way down the plastic tank. As you can tell, not very car technical. Couldn't see any min / max lines!
Do I need to be worried. Or perhaps top it up?
Love the car by the way! Defo thumbs up.

fluid defo needs toppingup,

the min and max marks are both near the top, so for your fluid to be halfway down is one worry, after you have sorted that (use only the fluid from alfa/fiat) try cleaning the earth point by side of battery and selespeed tank, attached to arch

how much does it matter that its low on fluid?? mine is behaving the same, just about to go out and check the levels. i have it booked in to an alfa specialist tommro to plug it in and tell me.

Pointless if there's no faults showing.

Fluid not topped up can cause air to enter and moments of losses pressure meaning the changes can be a bit off, along with faults displaying due to low pressure.

I'd save money from garage and top up, then see how of goes personally, unless you want to pay £60 for the garage to say your fluids low ;)
