General 500X... Orders & deliveries

In the US, as of yet, there is no way to do a custom order. We can only choose from what has been allocated to the market.

Its always nice to hear people talk positive and give praise.
Im going to wait it out and hope Fiat come good.
Thanks to everyone

Hi all,

I placed an order on the 5th for a 500x Cross Over, just got an email yesterday to say it's arrived and will be ready for collection next week. I was pleasantly surprised that it's arrived so quickly. I only added one extra pack. Fingers crossed it will all be plain sailing when I collect it.

Mine arrived in Bristol Saturday and still stuck with customs

1 week on still no car stuck in Bristol waiting for transporter

Dealer still has no idea when it will arrive and as usual Fiat are being the usual bunch of unhelpful pricks and won't confirm anything

Called into my dealers this morning and was told car had reached status 35, meaning it's on its way! Dealer suggested about 3 weeks before I take delivery which would total about 14 weeks since ordering.

If all goes according to plan I will be taking delivery of my car tomorrow - 13 weeks and 1 day since I placed the order. Shame it looks like it'll be raining !

I did thoroughly enjoy my first and ALL subsequent drives!

I didn't even test drive my 500X. Just bought straight out of show room.

That is not to say that I had not done any detailed research, several show room sitting trials, measurements, technical observations/investigations (based on over 42 years of owning and servicing Fiats and all required specialist tools as require) etc etc.

My praise, experience, etc thus far easily meets or exceeds what I was looking for as an overall package for me.

Only losses I have over my Croma 2005 which I miss are:

1) Fuel filler flap does not/is not lockable
2) No central cool box but one does have a front small cool glove box
3) No rear 12V power socket

As of today 1) and 2) remain as-is / unsolved however the rear power socket is surpassed by a 4 way socket courtesy of my personally installed towbar and electrics.

Congrats - Mine due at dealership tomorrow, but because we are busy we can't pick it up until next Saturday 23 weeks and 3 days from leaving my deposit.

You got a right result!!!

Picked mine up today - "just" 20 weeks and 3 days after ordering..

Loving it though! Red 1.4 Pop Star.. With sun roof too, just in time for the winter!

Can I ask if the auto handbrake comes on automatically, when you switch ignition off,or do you need to apply it normally once parked up,ive got an auto handbrake on my current car and I love it,thanks.

Actually I've not noticed my drive is on a slope so always put the brake on 1st, but will check.

Comes on automatically, however unlike a manual brake it take just over a second to be fully applied so one has to keep the brake pedal pressed otherwise the car will roll back.

It is also worth reading the handbook about how to deliberately leave the parking brake off should you need to. e.g. long term parking in a garage with 1st gear engaged or wheels chocked.

Mine doesn't come on automatically....when I switch off the car I have to lift the switch to apply the handbrake. It comes off when I pull away and comes on when I'm stopped on a slope (hill start).

I tested mine, it it does come on automatically when I turn the engine off, tested on level ground, just to make sure! There are settings that allow you to configure.
