2004 punto misfiring help please

2004 reg fiat punto

problem started few days ago noticed sudden change in engine sound and drove like a bag of spanners,

on start up sounds terrible chugging and misfiring, rev it up seems to sound a bit better until the revs come down then sack of spanners again

what we tried so far on abvice is

new coil pack and leads and sparkplugs still the same


had a diognostic on it done and came up with error p201 i believe some fault wth fuel injector cylinder 1 and 4

any ideas please, i have been advised that its the ecu and that it is going to need replacing, any help woulds be gratefully appreciated,

I believe it almost certainly it has to do with a fault in the electrics/electronics. Better get it seen to asap before it causes more serious damage to the engine.
