Technical 1.9/1.4 16v Gear selector Box...the same?

Does anybody know if the selector Box is the same on these two GP's?

after changing the cables on my 1.9 (still the damage from the frozen weather on Christmas day!) I found out yesterday it was not them, so stripped the selector box and found something metal which had sheared to put it simply,

There is a 1.4 16v gear selector on ebay, but I don't know if the two are the same?

Can anybody shed some light on this?

isnt the m-jet 6 speed...and the 1.4 5 speed?

But totally different gearboxes, and crucially, reverse is in a different position (left and up, instead of right and down).
