hi, currently doing head gasket change... need to remove contaminated coolant, rest of system is drained except theres coolant still in bottom of block... how do I remove it? .... before I refill with new coolant?

also same with oil, do I do oil change once its rebuilt? let it run for abit until up to tempature with engine flush, drain and refill? or empty before somehow?

cheers

Take out the bottom radiator hose to remove the coolant.
once the motor is back together put only tap water in it ..run it until hot.. then replace the water with coolant.

You could also ad 1-2 liters of vinegar in the water to clean some of the rust in the cooling circuit.

As for the oil:
Remove the oil you now have in the engine.. put new oil in..
The next oil change do it sooner..like 5-6000km.
