After all the trouble I've had with the passenger OCS sensor, I thought I'd have a look under the driver's seat, and see if it had one or not.

To my surprise - there's a grey connector from the seat - ie, there is a sensor, and you can feel it in the seat.
However, it's not connected to anything! The wires coming from the floor do not include an OCS connector. There are no errors or anything.
So my question is - should there be a sensor for the driver (and perhaps the seat foam has been replaced with a passenger one), or should there be one, and someone has possibly modified it all before?

I did wonder about that!
The only reason I thought it was at all possible, was that maybe it used the weight detection thing as part of the multistage airbag etc.
I've just read through the manual, it seems it's passenger only - so no idea why my driver's seat has a mat!!

Maybe the seat have been changed some time in the past with a seat from a LHD Stilo?

You have a handle for the seat adjustment? For the seat to go up and down?

i think the seats are the same on both left and right hand cars, they put the equipment in to save time and mistakes on the production line (an it probo saves costs as manufactors dont have to tool up two lines for the same equipement), the ocs isnt connected as it not needed on the drivers side, but if it was a left hand drive car the right seat would be connected and the left one wouldnt.

Yeh all of the handles and knobs are in the right place.

This sounds logical! That would explain it all.

At least I know that it isn't meant to be connected to anything, thanks guys!
