I can hear it moving about when I open and shut the tailgate. Is getting water in there a common problem, how did it get in? Cant see any holes. I see two drain holes but no sign of water. Any quick fix ideas before I take the door apart? Cheers
Could be getting past the rubber grommet where the wiper spindle comes through the glass. This happened on my 5 door hatchback and was easily cured with silicone sealant between the glass and the grommet
Cheers guys. Never had the chance to look at it today but having pointers helps. Funny how its not coming out the drain holes though as they look clear. Might get the drill out and make a couple more.
Well I could not see anywhere obvious where it would have got in so just had to squirt about with the silicon and close it back up. Not much I can do now apart from keep an eye on it. Odd as we have had nowhere near the rain as down south had.
Just a thought but is the rear window washer jet spray working ok and not leaking into the tailgate somehow ,,guess you find out in time if the silicon has done the trick, as like you say been a lot less water coming down up here

Lol. I thought about that after I stuck it back together and thought "sod taking it apart again" so keeping an eye on it will have to do. I did run the water/spray for a while and cant hear anything inside I singers crossed no.
