Good evening all!!
I love my stilo abarth. Mechanically wise the car is sound but the electrics are slowly becoming very unreliable. At the moment my abarth is always beeping with warning signals. My question is "can i disconnect the computer so no more beeping sounds, warning lights, warning signals appear on my dashboard" its getting to the point that it is becoming ridiculous!!
Thanks guys!
Lee ;)

Fiat Stilo Abarth "loose connection"

Good evening guys!
Yesterday i got into my car, turned on the ignition, and car did not start, everytime i turned ignotion the car would just rattle and a warning message appeared on my dashboard as "loose connection" after 10 minutes on stop the car then suddenly decided to start normally!! :/
Anyone experiances this before?
Thanks

Get your battery tested. A discharged or faulty battery could cause all the faults you've described.

Loose connection and starting later could be crank position sensor. An easy repair.

Plug an interface into the computer and scan it with MES to see what comes up. As Mark says. Should be in error code memory.

Hi guys, checked battery and all seems fine!! Any ideas? Is it possible to disconnect the computer from the vehicle so no more errors/warnings occur??

I think also, to quickly answer the original question, NO, you cant disconnect the computer, if you did, you would have much bigger problems!

I suspect as Davren says you have corrosion somewhere in the fuse box - may not be immediately obvious so id disconnect the battery and check every fuse and relay.
