just read the post about shadyman buying his daughter a red multiwagon and it had p0235 code witch turned out to b the map sensor , could this b my problem too ??? as i got a second hand boost control valve of ebay months ago and that didnt sort it and i tried a freinds boost control valve and that didnt solve any thing. hope so as there a lot cheaper map that is
Davren is correct. The MAP sensor measures boost, it controls the amount of boost via the Boost Control Solenoid.
The Boost Control Solenoid(the part you already replaced) is quite robust and rarely fails once its been resited onto the battery box. Your problem is most likely the MAP Sensor so remove it, clean it and its connector.
Here's how I remove it.
