hi all, I have had a search through and there seems to be a few treads on MW boots. My problem seems slightly different. when you unlock the car and walk round the back to open the boot, it no longer opens when holding the handle. you have to press the button on the handle release and wait a few seconds. it has only just started doing this. any advice?
My worry is that one day it will not open

worth checking your mode settings for boot opening

Most common cause is faulty switch in the boot handle had this on my m/w in the end went to maplins got a small press for on contact tiny switch and fitted to where old faulty one was and used glue gun to hold it on the plastic holder..
the rubber handle switch just peels out of the handle if you looking to test the switch for the boot..I extended the wires when I did mine and hid them back in the handle ..watch out for 2 springs that are part of the rubber grip which may vanish if you not keep eye on them when taking switch apart..if is switch no need to dis-mantle anything bar the ruibber switch pad
