Hi Guys,
my heater blower has died on my rhd 02 stilo.
i've ordered a new one from the good old internet and wondered if any one has actually replaceed it themselves and if they had any helpful hints. ( or advice about how long it takes a mechanic to replace....)
( yes i have replaced the resistor and pollen filter and it's not that!)
thanks!

not that difficult just awkward..remove footwell cover by clutch pedal..best to tie pedal down to get more room, remove steering colum shaft from lower joint..I removed pollen filter and it's cover for more room and shuffle around a bit to remove 3 screws that hold motor in place..swap motors and put back together, make sure you have a torch you be needing it..,mechanic should be able to do it in an hour and not much longer. and if you are competent then no real hassle to do just fiddly with the space and found myself working upside down half the time, good work out for your back joints.. but glad I did it now winter is here

thanks :) i'll give it a go when the replacement arrives.. being without heat in this weather is not recommended! :)

just few tips if tackling yourself...when re-fitting the steering colum, it is slotted to only fit one way.do not force it back into joint if you find it difficult just check you have the slotted section of it lined up ok..and the 3 screws holding motor in place are quite small so take care not to drop or loose them,, a screwdriver that has a little magnetic effect is good..otherwise hope change of the motor sorts your heat out, it did with mine but I have the climate control type so slightly different system as no resistor pack to check but you gone through the resitor pack so only way is to change it and see now you have motor to change
