Just putting one of my thoughts out there.

I was wondering if it would be possible to fit the Abarth discs, pads and calipers to my 1.2? I know they have an overall larger diameter and thickness but have the same center bore so would at least fit on with my caliper/ carrier out the way. Would the caliper carrier bolt up fine on my 1.2's hub carrier? If so then the disc should fit and the caliper over the top.

But if not then I'll need the Abarth's hub carrier...will that fit

Considering there's Brembo big brake kits out there for over a grand of which I doubt would be much bigger than the standard Abarth setup then I see this as a viable upgrade for the 1.2, and it will fill the gap in the Blades much better as well

Thanks in advance

tyhe carrier is different and the spacing for the bolts on the hubs larger IIRC.. though im sure you could make them fit a set of bremobs or similar off ebay would be more cost effective

The small discs / pads stop the 1.2 perfectly well especially if you fit EBC ultimax pads.

Big benefit of the smaller discs is you have more room to get your hand between the spokes to clean the inner face of your Claws, the only tight spot is where the caliper is.

**Blades ;) lol

Both fair points, I was just after something that would fill the gap in the wheels better :) The standard brakes on the 1.2 are very good and I don't have a problem with them, it was mainly a styling issue but would obviously have side effects on the braking - in a good way ;) But if the Abarth kit doesn't fit on without the hub then I doubt I'll bother with them, maybe at some point I'll look into fitting Brembos but not for a while. Thanks for the advices anyways :p
