Was out today in my 1.8 and got passed by what I presume was a 1.4 stilo (as it said 6 speed on the rear )on the motaway. Decided to keep up a little but was really impressed with it. Was well into 3 figures when when I thought bugger that! LOL . I know mine is capable of around 130mph but we werent that far off and his was a 1.4!!!! Is the 1.4 really that quick or had it had some work done do you think. Still love mi 1.8 though. Had it 10 years now and it still feels as good as owt else I have driven lately.

Well the 1.4 has 95bhp I think whereas your 1.8 will have 130 so would be impressed if it genuinely managed to keep on your tail! Could have been an Abarth with a 6 speed mind you - some 6 speed boxes do fit them but don't come with that option

Remaps and induction kits can push the 1.4 up to 115bhp so if it had that done to it then it may well be a bit closer!

What year was it, did you notice? If it was 04 and after then it would be a 1.4 but pre 04 would be 1.2 - now TAHT would be impresive

It was an 06 plate but defo a 1.4 6 speed. Not an abarth. Still was very impressed.

The 1.4 is not a Stilo to be underestimated :devil:

urm not meaning to be difficult here but where did you find that the 1.4 stilo has 95bhp...

everywhere I look i see that the 1.6 has 103 the 1.8 133 and the 1.4 80bhp lol,

1.2 Stilo has 80bhp, 1.4 does have 95bhp. Or 94, according to this source:

Nope, as mentioned the 1.4 is, and always has been 95bhp, you are mistaken (or your source is)
