just managed to get my car scanned with FES, and i've got 3 errors,

can someone tell me what's needing fixed? i've cleaned the connectors with electrical contact cleaner,

for passenger weight sensor i'm thinking of just changing the seat (with a working seat)

0F- Side Airbag (passenger) Value Too High
32- Front Passenger Weight Sensor Unknown/ Internal error
22- Curtain Airbag Squib (passenger) Value Too High

they are current faults, it enjoys telling me to stop engine due to an airbag fault,

tried to clear faults and these would remain

0F iirc is the bag in the back rest of the Passenger seat (White Connector)
32 is categorically the OCS Mat, my code 32 turned out to be the control unit for, rather than, the mat itself (Orange Connector)
check the orange and white seat base connections for connection, resistance and visually check it for corrosion (0F is pretty unusual unless the connector is disconnected or the terminals are dickie)

22 is the B pillar airbag and id suspect that to be dickie connections also

'Value Too High' means there is too much resistance in the circuit so you need to figure out where this resistance is coming from, usually its slightly corroded connections

cheers, gonna try and install another seat and then find a 5 door that's getting broken to get the b pillar curtain,

already gave all connectors a good clean, would it be worth trying to hard-wire all the connectors before I get the seat (just to see if its the connectors at fault)

probably not worth doin that... a quick tidy with fine grit wet and dry would suffice i rekon buddy. maybe try to gently reposition the female terminals so that they grip the male terminals a little better air bags a re a pain in the arse to do so if you can get away with a bit of tweaking then why not

richy, forgot to ask, where was the control unit located for the ocs mat? got a doner car sourced for parts

the arrangement can be seen here. the electronics unit sits inside a cut out in the seat pad foam on the forward most edge of the passenger seat. i cant find any pictures of how it sits in the seat so its kinda hard to explain but you will need the seat out, the undertray off and the upholstery where your arse is removed. then all will be come clear.

i understand that fabric is a hell of a lot easier than leather but saying that when i stripped my leather one it was only a bitch to get it back on stripping it was the easy bit

cheers dude, I'm goin to be stripping the fabric off current seat and putting it on new seat if they are different styles
