Had a drive around a minute ago to see if i could get my MPG up from 2.0 ( got a thread running about that ) then i noticed when i started the car a big thud, this was after i stopped and filled up my tank, so yeah, got in the car, started it and i heard this thud, then i thought sh*t, so i drove down the road, got to some traffic lights, and just before i came to a stop i heard a loud rattling, it sounded as if it was comeing from under the car just behind the drivers seat, not sure though as its hard to tell, has anyone else come across this, i don't really know where to start looking, i'm not totally up to scratch with the inside of cars and that (n) seem to be having a fair few problems this week

I'm sure a quick look under the car will reveal all. As it happened immediately after filling up, my suggestion is that one of the straps holding the fuel tank in place has snapped.

Right, got the lads from work together and we jacked up the car, its coming from the middle of the car, its more of a knocking sound, nothing is loose, the exhaust shudders abit when you start up the car but i'm not sure what it was like before the problem, but it is coming from that big long box thing ( I don't know what it's called lol ) but its directly under the front seats, and i'm not sure if it happend after i put fuel in, i noticed it when i started the car after fueling up, before i went to the petrol station though i went down a road with speed bumps, and again, didn't notice anything then  maybe i knocked it or somethin? And how would i check the straps? cheers

Sounds like one of your exhaust mounts mail have failed if the pipe is shuddering a lot. Check the rubber hangers.

The fuel tank is held in place by two wrap-round straps. If one of these has failed, you will detect movement in the tank when you apply pressure from underneath it. But if the noise is coming from where you say it is, it's too far forward to be the fuel tank.
