Remove Chip Guard
Apologies if this isn't very clear but it's my first post on here! I have a mk2b Punto which I got as a cheap first car. Anyway, it has some big scratches (not me as it was used by someone else to learn to drive in. Fingers crossed I don't hit anything with it!) on the front which I've rubbed down and filled etc. as well as little spots of rust inside the door frame (not sure what the actual name for the outside door well bit).
The bit that's got me stuck at the moment is what I believe is the chip board along the bottom of either side of the car which has some bad surface rust - see the attached pictures. My question is whether this can come off and leave a metal surface behind it so I can put Krust on it (or would you recommend some proper chip guard paint?). It seems too thick too rub down with wet and dry, does it need sanding or can it be taken off like mentioned above?
Hope someone can help!
Thanks
