hi people was changing a bulb tonight in driver's side headlights of my girlfriends punto 1.2 8v active sport and all of a sudden i turned main lights on and the main bulb just went i pulled it out put another bulb in and nothing like theres no power to it so i pulled out the bulb and checked the others on it but nothing was happening so checked the fuse box and there was a red number 10 that was gone could this be why it is not working??? as i thought if it went it would cut all lights out or is that not the case?? any info welcome thank you:):)

Try replacing it. I'm not sure if they're individually fused or not (handbook, maybe downloadfable, see section, should reveal all).

A fairly common issue is the connectors overheating and turning to a coal-like substance -- cheap replacements on eBay.

ive replaced the fuse but then found out the fuses under the bonnet are to do with the engine and ecu?? so checked the ones next to the steering wheel cant see what ones are for what so i need to find out cant find anywhere tho =[

Side light - i dont know which fuse they run on - as i've never popped it
As for the DIPPED headlights - They are in Driver side Fuse box
undo the 2 big screws and drop the lid/cover down

You will get this
DSCF0703.JPG

On the Far Right of the 1st row - 10Amp - This is the Left Hand Dipped Light
and the Far Right of the 2nd row - 10Amp - this is the Right Hand dipped light

as for the Engine Bay Compartment

DSCF0704.JPG

Where the Blue box That surrounds the Hi Beam Relay - is 2x 10amp fuses again - but seperated by that Green 30amp
The Top on is RH - Full beam/Hi beam Fuse 10amp
the 3rd one down is LH - Full beam/Hi beam fuse 10amp :)

Hope this helps

The lights Dipped Share the Same Switch to the Same relay (20amp relay) But after the relay it then splits to Left and Right hand - hence 2x 10amps
It means if one bulb does pull to much - you dont loose both lights - atleast you have 1 bulb there for other drivers to see!!

I've got a Doblo with the same style fuseboxes and have discovered something VITAL. It's in the handbook, but I missed it...

The interior fusebox has fuses that are impossible to remove by hand. I was thinking of using pliers and possibly breaking the fuse, when I re-read the handbook. In the photo above, see the two white plastic lines top right? they are the end of a pair of pliers. Squeeze the lines together (they are the end of the handle of the pliers) and it will pull out. The fuses are now very easy to remove with the pliers. Don't forget to put them back for next time!
