Hi folks,

I was hoping someone could tell me of any other vehicle manufacturers 15" wheels rims that will fit a '58' plate Panda Cross.

I was given a set of winter tyres with my Panda and finding a set if 15" Fiat wheels doesn't appear to be that easy so was hoping something a little more commonly available might be a fit ?.

Not to fussed if they are steel or alloy as just a winter set.

Many thanks.(y)

Not sure what offset you need for the Cross but the other two important things are:

PCD98 (bolt spacing)
58.1mm bore (the hole in the middle)

FIAT Panda, old Punto (not Grande), 500, Ford Ka and Chrysler Ypsilon.

I use old Punto Alloys as my winter wheels but if you want new then go to

www.oponeo.co.uk

The crucial thing is that '98mm PCD' - if you drew a circle that passed through the centre of all 4 bolt holes, that would be 98mm in diameter. This is an 'odd' size, and seems to be specific to small Fiats (and cars like the new Ford Ka derived from them). Most other makes uses a 100mm PCD - so non Fiat wheels cannot be used. (there are 'wobbly bolts' to allow you to use them - not sure that's a good idea). Older Puntos (prior to about 2005) use 98mm PCD wheels, but beware that newer than that have 100mm PCD. Not sure about Bravo etc.

The other crucial number is the 'ET' offset (how far the centre of the mounting surface of the wheels against the hub is in or out from the centre of the tyre). Most Pandas have an offset of ET35 (35mm positive offset). But, I believe the 2007-2012 Cross is ET44. This is important, as, if wrong offset used, the inside edge of the tyres can rub on the suspension or subframe etc at full lock. (BTW, the post 2012 Cross uses the same ET35 offset as the rest of the post 2012 Pandas)

These dimensions neatly illustrated here: http://dnamotoring.com/web/what-is-wheel-offset-and-pcd/

Thanks for the help and advice chaps, very informative (y).

In the end I went for a set of very nice Punto alloys for £80 delivered, the offset is slightly different but thought I'd give them a go and if they rub get a set of 10mm spacers.

Cheers.

Well folks I've just fitted the Punto alloys with 175/65/15 winter tyres to the Cross.
I'm happy to say that despite the difference in offset they fit a treat with no fouling or rubbing at all.
In fact I think they look pretty good(y)

That 2mm between 98mm PCD and 100mm PCD is very significant. Be sure to get the correct wheels.

Steels might have different length bolts from the alloys so check that as well.
