When installing a new 12V power supply point in my Panda Active 1.2 8v car (this basic model did not have it fitted originally) I discovered another unused connector block in the wiring loom next to the larger white connector that now feeds the 12v unit.


I photograph of this black connector block is attached so does anyone know what this is used for in higher spec variants of the 2011 Panda and if I can use it for that purpose?

There are some unused connectors in the wiring loom which will only be used on certain models. My Multijet had a couple of unused connectors in the tailgate under the inner cover. It would not be advisable to connect anything to any spare plugs or sockets.

I think you'll find the black connector is for the electric door mirror controls that are on the posh models. The switch mechanism sits next to the cigarette lighter socket if fitted.

unfortunately..it's a lottery as to whether a "spare" cable can be safely powered-up.:bang:
I gave-up with my lowly spec panda.
