Had 2 new tyres put on the front had the tracking done twice and the 100hp still pulls left Quickfit have told me something is wrong but not sure what! It's worse since they messed with it.

:yeahthat: Take it somewhere else. That's probably the worst place you could have brought it.

IMHO quickfit are experts in absolutely nothing. Tracking must be done by someone who knows what he's doing.

so true, try a little independant, if you can find somewhere that will do 4 wheel tracking even better, wifes corsa was pulling to left ann the time couldnt get it sorted took to small independant they did 4 wheel tracking and found rear wheels where out of spec, they adjusted up the rear axle mounts and is much better though still steers to left very slightly well i say steers that not quite true, lets say the steering is lighter turning to the left than it is to the right. but isnt trying to mount the kerb all the time now:devil:

This pulling can be another issue rather than just wheel alignement.
Apart from the actual toe settings, there are other issues to watch out for.

Damage or wear in suspension and steering parts can cause issues.
Bushes, track rods, broken springs can all cause a pull, as can a caliper binding.

It's more common these days for rack misalignment to cause electric power steering to pull in one direction.
You can usually spot this as they tend to pull worse the slower you go (due to it assisting more at slower speeds) and failing to self centre properly when parking or slow maneuvering as the torque sensor in the system detects input in one direction.

What happens is over time and several tracking attempts the rack gets off centre slightly, yes the track rod ends are adjusted to set the correct toe, but there ends up with more rack out of one end than the other, hence the sensor thinking there's input.

It doesn't take much for the torque sensor in the column to indicate there's a little steering input (when there isn't) so it starts assisting in that direction, hence the pull and self centring problems.

I've just corrected my lads C2 (and my old VX Combo before that) awful pull left and the slower the car the worse the pull.
I borrowed a diagnostic tool to read the torque sensor and it was showing several Nm's of input even though the steering was straight ahead.

Had to straighten it up until 0 input showed, remove and straighten the steering wheel and retrack it with the steering wheel locked off properly. (though it could have been done by measuring the rack each end on full lock and working out it's proper centre)

I suspect over the years several dodged attempts at sorting it by monkeys in blue overalls had made it far worse than it should have been!
Drives perfect now (for a French Merdebox!)

Presume the two old rear tyres are a matching pair? If not, this could be a possible cause.

Also, some tracker 'specialists' seem to concentrate on getting the toe in/toe out correct, while ignoring the fact that for the steering to track 'hands free' both track rod ends should be the same length. Castor effect will tug one way or t'other if this is overlooked.
