Hello all,
I've been looking for a MJ for a few weeks and think I might have found one, but for one little concern.
Standing in front of the car and looking under the bonnet, to the left of the engine and slightly towards the back there is a 'jam-jar shaped' plastic component (black with a green lid from memory?) with a few pipes attached. On the car I've found this whole item looks pretty 'oily' or maybe 'diesely' (is that a real word?). What is this component and any ideas why it would look so oily - anything to worry about, any common reasons etc?
I'm pretty mechanically competent but I'm also 'old skool' so modern engines with all their extra bits and bobs can be a bit challenging until I find my way around!
By-the-way, great forum you have here :worship: hope to be fully fledged member soon :slayer:
