I aam thinking of upgrading the air intake for mz Panda 1.2. If nothing else works, I am going to buy the KN specific air intake system for my Panda. The sound will change at least. But I wonder what those universal KN filters are good for, or how they can be applied to pandas? KN offers loads of different !universal! filters with different sizes. What use are they if they are universal? There are so many different types but nothing is specified as for which size fits which car.

and they look sinister and are supposed to be for all cars. I also wonder how they could be fit into the Panda system. The sound of engine after these appolos are used is supposed to change dramatically. Tempting!

PS a few days ago my engine sounded a bit different and more interesting, I thought a hole in my exhaust pipe maybe, but then I discovered of one ghe logs that holds the air filter closed safely in the plastic cover was loose and it changed the way the air went to the system, but probably still trough the paper filter, so nothing happened, and i only drove about 10 miles with it, but I thought if this tiny change changes the engine sound this much, then what happens if I buy a completely new system...

To be honest I wouldn't bother wasting your money.

it§s just about the sound = i had a ford escort 97 before this panda and i loved the sound after I bought race filter, just addictive and doesnt§ sound stupid like sport exhaust pipes, as it only adds the evil tone to the engine when you press the accelerator

just the pure air sucking sound of the engine is what i want

but of course I am not sure if the sound would be also that nice - i think the trick was that the air box was removed and that's what i would do to my panda, remove the air box and install KN professional Panda tailored system worth about 150 pounds / probably a few HP added , better response to the throttle, great sound, that's what i got with my old escort / but as I said, the sound matters to me most
