Got the car, only 3 delivery miles and looking gorgeous!

The dealer did a great job of preparing it, wax + tyre dressing, air freshner, etc. - a full valet.

The CD player was not in it because of the bad area that the dealership is located. They take them out to stop them being stolen! It is the right unit with MP3 logo :)

quick question - any idea within which booklet/wallet the code card is usually located/stuck down?

cheers (y)

edit: dealer says this is for the continent only and we don't have the ignition code cards any more in the UK so this is a mistake in the handbook as the handbook isn't region specific (y) .

god damn it:bang:

Never mind James.....wait to you see the Service guy's face when he hands you the keys back with a big smile on his face after fitting and you then say "Thanks.....now how do you intend to compensate me for all the bu**eration that I've had trying to get this sorted?"

The panda has 250 miles on it now and it is very impressive (y) (y)
It is showing an average of 44 MPG overall at the moment. In the first 10 miles it was 15 MPG! :D

Three minor teething problems:

1) Perspex in front of speedometer etc. is rattling a little at above 55 MPH, a highish frequency audible vibration. Needs tightening up?

2) Car was supposed to come with mats but these are on back order and the dealer told me yesterday that he now has no date for these. Probably a couple of weeks apparently. I don't want to mess up the carpet! I'll probably wait a week or two and then ask for £30 back so I can buy some generic's from Halfrauds.

3) NUmberplate was stuck on with double sided self adhesive pads. One has come unstuck on one side of the back plate and needs replacing.

2) i would wait for the mats tbh until they come, your probably regret it if you cancel them, i dont know what there like, but the punto ones are real nice and expensive looking, if your worried about getting carpet dirty, buy some cheap mats till they come, £1 shop sells them here, loads of shops actually that sell mats for under £3.

3) halfords should sell some sticky pads, but they dont really work in my experiance, they just fall off every week, so i super glued them on! :p it did work though! but i would probably stick them on with some small blobs of sikaflex kinda stuff (what bodyshops use to glue side skirts onto cars with)

PS. your car looks hot, wana swap? :p

Got the mats and semi rigid boot liner today (y) The mats are nice looking, with an embroidered Panda logo. It's a pity that the dealer didn't phone me to tell me they'd arrived! I phoned again to ask how long they would take and they said they had got them in stock!

The perspex covering the dials on the dashboard has stopped vibrating with no remedial work.

The dealer offered to stick the numberplates on again, but I was in a hurry as I'd waited an age for the parts man to find the mats in the stock room so they gave me a roll of double sided tape to do it myself (y)
