Technical Panda Twin Air Start & Stop issue.

You are making the right decision as secondhand Pandas more expensive than here in the UK. Maybe have oil change too Friday (Selenia 0w 30), parts will have 12 month warranty. Hope car is fixed soon. (y)

Maybe it will be fixed next week, the car will go back to where i bought it.
Apparently i have a 12 months Top occasion guarantee on the car, not 6 months. :D

Wednesday they will bring a replacement car (New Nissan Micra) they will drive down to me for the change and than drive my Panda back.
I have to discuss the fact that they plan to drive my Panda back for 130 Km to there location.
Want to know for certain it will not effect the engine, and what insurance they gave me, that it will not damaged the engine, driving that distance.

UNI Air Module. ;)

I don't know, but would a not properly working multi air system have it's effect on fuel consumption. ??

I get max 12.5 km per liter (30 mpg ??) out of it.
That's really low! I think you could be onto something there. The worst I've had with mine was when it was running in - 45 mpg. Now I'm getting low 50s. If I do lots of short runs it drops to high 40s again. I also have a 2wd.
My brother had the uniair module fail on his 500 - it was done under warranty - his symptoms were poor starting and high oil consumption - it didn't seem to affect fuel economy.

Just had one fail on my 4 x 4 (see separate thread) symptoms were the ECU just shut down one cylinder which leaves little to play with...

With respect to driving it to the dealers, I think when they did that with mine it probably hastened the demise of the clutch (pulling away on one cylinder). Good luck

The stop start does turn off some times and this is normal so long as the warning triangle is not involved. If you drive off and stop before getting up to speed it does not work. If you stop the car and open the door while the engine is off it disconnects and there are other things that set it off. Door locks obviously send some signals to the ECU as part of this process so there are a lot of things that can cause this to play up. My stop start just does its thing in the background and I hardly notice it The idea is sound but in reality I am not so sure its worth all the complication. It has implications for the battery - new ones with stop start are a hell of a lot more expensive....- and you need a clever battery charger as well. If you find a clever electronic anything PLEASE do let me know........

I suspect the old disconnect the battery thing is probably required to reset /reboot all the electronics, but clock and probably the tyre sensors would need resetting after.

Good luck

Compare to the VW 3 cylinder, this Nissan 3 cylinder sounds better, it feels better, les vibrations, it feels much smoother to. :D
Having had 3 cars with the VW triple in our household - I would agree - it's not the smoothest unit around. It also bogs down really badly sometimes when pulling away. I'd quite like to try the turbo version though. One thing I do like about it is it's very frugal and feels unburstable.
